Refund policy

Important: Your rights under Australian law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

1. Change of Mind Returns (14 days)

We offer a 14‑day change‑of‑mind return period from the date you receive your item.

Eligibility requirements:

• Unused, unworn and unwashed;

• All original tags and packaging intact;

• Proof of purchase (order number or receipt).

Return shipping for change‑of‑mind returns is at the customer’s expense. We recommend a tracked service.

2. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items (ACL remedies)

Please inspect your order on delivery and contact us promptly if an item is faulty, damaged or not as described so we can assess and resolve it.

For a major failure under the ACL, you may choose a refund or replacement. For non‑major failures, we will repair, replace or refund in compliance with the ACL.

For approved faulty/incorrect returns, Being Aussie will cover reasonable return shipping costs.

3. How to Lodge a Return

Email: support@beingaussiewear.com with:

• Order number;

• Item name/size/colour;

• Reason for return;

• Photos (required for damaged/faulty/incorrect items).

If your return is accepted, we will provide return instructions and, where applicable, a pre‑paid label. Items sent back without prior approval may be refused.

4. Exclusions & Non‑returnable Items

Unless faulty, we do not accept returns of personalised/custom products, digital gift cards, or items marked as final sale. For hygiene and safety reasons, certain items cannot be returned unless faulty (e.g., undergarments/face coverings).

5. Exchanges

For the fastest exchange, purchase the replacement item and return the original. Once your return is approved and received, we will process your refund.

6. Refunds (method & timing)

After we receive and inspect your return, we’ll notify you of the outcome. If approved, refunds are issued to your original payment method within 10 business days. Your bank or card provider may take additional time to post funds. If 15 business days have passed since our approval, please contact us.

7. Shipping Responsibility & Risk

For change‑of‑mind returns, you are responsible for return postage and the goods remain your responsibility until we receive them. Use a tracked service and keep your lodgement receipt.

8. International Customers (including EU)

If we ship to your country, your local consumer rights may also apply. Where the European Union 14‑day cooling‑off period applies, EU consumers may cancel within 14 days of delivery for any reason, provided items are returned unused with tags and in original packaging.

This policy is governed by the laws of South Australia and the Australian Consumer Law.
